Last night's Buffy‏

As many problems I had with last nite’s Buffy, I liked it so much more than I thought I was going to. I’ll try to make this as quick as possible, cuz I really should be working at work. I’ll follow your lead and put my problems first:Why the “Bored now.”? Was that to show us that deep down, all the Willows out there are the same blatant disregard or care for human life people? Or was it just Marti’s way of saying: Hee hee, here’s something for the old-timers.? In the first case, I find it interesting and troubling. If it’s the second, well I think that it is unfortunate that she did it, cuz I think it’s the first and that makes me think that Will really can’t be saved. (Geez, not that I don’t think that after last nite?.More on this in a bit) Poor Amber, who will likely never be on Buffy again, couldn’t even make it to the opening credits (or a guest star mention) even though it was obviously her lying on the floor for a few scenes. Does Xander know that Spike can attack Buffy without the chip hurting him. Obviously it’s a mute point being that Spike is gone, but he was concerned for Dawn because of what Spike did to Buffy (the night before?). I suppose Buffy and Xander drove Will to the bus so they could actually see what she was capable of. It seemed pointless to me, especially since Will was transporting to and fro after the bus incident. I guess Will waited to tell them about Tara, b/c she wanted a ride (?) The police thing bothered me too. I mean, not that Xander seems like a killer, but when he calls in a shooting, is covered in blood and then hours later calls in a dead body, shouldn’t he at least be questioned? Shouldn’t Buffy? Or have the Sunnydale cops just come to accept that Buffy will always be found around dead bodies and questioning her just prevents her from saving the world. I would have liked to see Will and Tara together earlier, but I think the timing of the death and the emergence of Evil Willow is appropriate. I mean, if they are going to redeem her, she can’t be going around killing and destroying at will for weeks. That is, unless they kill her. I’m back to thinking that there’s no way she can really be saved. Buffy obviously doesn’t agree with her actions and I can’t imagine what Giles will say, so what the hell are they gonna do with her? Who’s to say she won’t snap again? The only way to really protect her is to get her out of the world she’s in. What if Xander gets hurt or killed next season, or Buffy (again), hell, even harming Anya would send Will off the deep end at this point. I just don’t know. Alyson is so wonderful and I really don’t want her gone, but what else can they do? She is so chilling and creepy and even though it’s Evil Willow, she still makes it feel like “Real” Willow (or Willow as we once knew her, cuz who know who “Real”Willow is) is still in there somewhere. So I am really looking forward to next week’s eps (and it kills me cuz I’ll be missing 24’s finale at 9!) Obviously, they can’t redeem Will now, but I’m really curious as to where she will be headed next season. And I really want to know how Giles is gonna react to all this nonsense. So, I know I have more to say, but I’ll cut it short and get back to work.
